#DadsDoMatter Challenge

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has been a viral phenomenon. People around the globe have been dumping ice-cold water over their heads to raise awareness and money for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). Seeing this outpouring of support made me think about ways to promote fatherhood. As I mentioned in a previous post, people sometimes arrive on Mocha Dad after searching “Do Dads Matter?” I intend to answer that question once and for all.

The #DadsDoMatter Challenge will not required you to douse yourself with water. All I ask is that you do the following things:

1. Post a photo of yourself holding a sign that reads #DadsDoMatter on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, or your own website. Be sure to tag the post with the hashtag #DadsDoMatter.

2. Challenge three (3) dads to post a #DadsDoMatter photo.

3. Support other dads by sharing their photos via social media.

Fathers positively influence  children by giving them the love, encouragement, and support they need to fulfill their potential. Let’s band together to show how much dads really do matter to our families an communities.

Thank you in advance for your participation. I’m looking forward to seeing your photos.

Stay Strong,
