Protect Your Personal Belongings [Video]

protect your personal belongings

I try to be a responsible person. I do what I can to protect my family and make sure that their needs are taken care of.  However, I have been careless with some of my material possessions. As a consequence, I’ve been a victim of theft on more than one occasion. Watch this cautionary tale of what happens when you don’t take the proper precautions to protect your personal belongings.

What I didn’t mention in the video is that I had a secon laptop stolen about a week after the first one. I left the computer in my office at work overnight and forgot to lock my door and secure it to my desk with my company-issued laptop lock. When I arrived to work the next morning, my computer was gone. I felt like an idiot for losing two laptops in two weeks. Don’t make the same mistakes I made. Secure your personal items. Get a Cable Lock or a U-Lock for your bikes and a Combination Laptop Lock for your computer. It’s also important to teach your kids to secure their personal belongings. Although we cannot prevent every theft, we can take steps to deter many of them.

Stay Strong,
