My Kids Tell Me What They Really Think of Me

In a previous post, I shared a Father’s Day survey for the kids. My kids had fun filling out the sheets and sharing their thoughts about Daddy. I was touched by their words and amused by their drawings (to fully appreciate the picture that my daughter drew, you have to watch this video)

X, 4-year-old son

My daddy’s name is Daddy Fred (not actually on my birth certificate.)

He is 42 years old, 100 feet tall and weights 15 pounds (Apparently, I’m a really thin, middle-age giant.)

His favorite food is corn (I like corn, but I think it’s best that we remain just friends.)

My daddy is really good at basketball (It’s easy to be good at basketball when you’re 100 ft tall.)

He loves to fight me and my brother (Let me clarify this statement. By fight, he means hug and kiss.)

My favorite thing(s) to do with my dad is fight and hug him (Hugs don’t come easy around here. In this instance fight means fight.)

I’m just like my dad because I wrestle and make friends (We are co-writing a new book, “How to Make Friends and Wrestle People.)

What I love most about my daddy is that he likes to play with me (Okay, that statement is 100% true.)

It makes Dad happy when I give him a hug and when we play hide and seek in the bed (If you haven’t played bed hide and seek, you’re missing out on life.)

N, 8-year-old son

My daddy’s name is Fred Goodall (Oh, no! He’s discovered my secret identity.)

He is 42 years old, 5’7″ tall and weighs 145 pounds (I wish he were as kind with my age and height as he was with my weight.)

His favorite food is medium rare steak (His mommy tells him that it still moos.)

My daddy is really good at basketball (refer back to my being 100 ft tall.)

He loves to drink coffee (I guess I’m living up to my Mocha Dad moniker.)

My favorite thing(s) to do with my dad is go to the comic book store (I’m training him to be a geek just like me.)

I’m just like my dad because I am funny like him (I’m funny ha-ha. He’s funny he-he.)

What I love most about my daddy is his personality (I think I may have to give this kid a raise in his allowance).

It makes Dad happy when I tell the truth (Just as he did in the previous question.)

Nee, 11-year-old daughter

My daddy’s name is Frederick Goodall (Until I change it to Meta World Ochocinco Peace.)

He is 42 years old, 5’7″ tall and weights 157 pounds (She’s knows too much. I must silence her.)

His favorite food is sushi (and bacon.)

My daddy is really good at wrestling (I guess it’s time that I sought the WWE Championship.)

He loves to play the guitar and go on the computer (If only someone would create an acoustic guitar computer, then I’d never have to leave the house.)

My favorite thing(s) to do with my dad is go to the comic book store and go to new restaurants (A comic book geek and a foodie? She’s going to make some young man a great wife.)

I’m just like my dad because I am very nosy (I don’t know if I should be flattered or offended.)

What I love most about my daddy is that he is fun and funny and when he is in a good mood, he makes up games (I’m in a good mood now. Let’s play chainsaw bowling.)

It makes Dad happy when I go outside with him (It also makes me happy when all three kids go outside while I take a nap.)

Stay Strong,
