In my job as a safety professional, I work hard to prevent workers from being injured or killed. I bring that same dedication to my personal life. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am firmly opposed to using cell phones while driving. When people call me while they’re driving, I refuse to talk to them until they reach their destination. They think I’m being rude, but I’m not. I’m only interested in their well-being. I have seen too many people killed in accidents caused by distracted driving.
This poignant video, produced by the U.S. Department of Defense, shows how a father is affected by losing his daughter to distracted driving.
