Father’s Day Questionnaire Results 2014

mdkids

Each year, I ask my children to complete a Father’s Day questionnaire. In addition to answering questions about me, they have to draw a picture of me. I love reading their responses and seeing the drawings. It’s interesting to see how their perceptions of me change each year (click here to read last year’s post).

X, 6 year-old son

This is a good drawing for a 6-year old, however, I wonder why my nose is shaped like the number two.

My daddy’s name is Fred (Correct)

He is 44 years old, 8 feet tall, and weighs 108 lbs (If I weren’t past 40, I’d try out for the NBA)

His favorite food is meatball subs (That’s actually his favorite food. I think he’s trying to tell me what he wants or dinner)

My daddy is really good at making food (This questionnaire seems to making him hungry)

My favorite thing to do with my dad is play basketball with him (We enjoy a nice pick-up game in the driveway after dinner)

I’m just like my dad because we both like basketball (I coached his basketball team this year. Coaching a team of 5 and 6 year old boys is akin to hearing cats)

What I love most about my daddy is he feeds me (I guess I’d better start making some meatball subs)

It makes my dad happy when I hug him (This is most definitely true. I keep one of his hugs with me at all times)

He wrote an extra note on the bottom of the page: Dear Daddy, I love you. You are the best dad ever.

N, 10 year-old son

I’m flattered that my son drew me as a superhero. My super power seems to be the ability to grow blonde hair from my head and arms.

My daddy’s name is Fred (but I’ll also answer to Frederick, Mocha Dad, or Puff Daddy)

He is 44 years old, 5’6, and weighs 160 lbs (Close, but no cigar)

His favorite food is crawfish (My son and I like to eat crawfish together, but it has caused some martial problems)

My dad is really good at basketball (Maybe I should try out for the NBA after all)

My favorite thing to do with my dad is go places with him (We both have a severe case of wanderlust)

I’m just like my dad because I play basketball (I like to think it’s because we’re both handsome and cool)

What I love most about my daddy is that he takes care of me (That’s my job and I love it)

It makes my dad happy when I am responsible (Yes!!!!!!!)

Nee, 13 year-old daughter

This is a pretty good likeness.

This is a pretty good likeness.

My daddy’s name is Fred Goodall (or as she likes to refer to me – Taxi)

He is 44 years old, 5’6″, and weighs 190 lbs (Maybe I should cut down on those meatball subs)

His favorite food is buffalo wings (I don’t actually have a favorite food, but Buffalo Wings are in the top 10)

He is really good at blogging (She obviously wants some money)

He loves to model (I’m a beast on the catwalk – watch this video to see for yourself)

My favorite thing to do with my dad is draw (Now it’s my turn to draw a picture of her)

What I love most about my dad is that he is fun (This is high praise coming from a teenager)

It makes my dad happy when I don’t complain (If only she’d make me happy more often)

She wrote an extra note on the bottom of the page: Dear Daddy, Thanks for being the best dad in the world. You have inspired me to do my best in everything I do and not be satisfied with second in anything.

Stay Strong,
